Sunday was a very low-key day. Even Jamie slept in a bit. Then the four of us went to the local Gail’s coffee shop and got something to eat and drink. We then took a walk over to Hyde Park and played in the Lady Diana Garden. Very nice setup for people with young children that you have to be buzzed into to protect anyone from being snatched. We slowly played around on the equipment then made our way back to the Daniel House.
We let Jamie play around with Larry and George and any stray students who came in while Abigail got packed up. Then we went and grabbed a quick lunch at Chipotle’s since Abigail was with us. Then the four of us took the tube down to Euston and waited for Abigail and Jamie’s train to arrive for their trip back to Birmingham. Mark did not come on this trip as he was running in the BMC Sheffield Grand Prix race on his birthday. He was pleased with how he did as it was the first race of the year, and it gave him an idea where he is at.
We then rode the tube back to the Daniel House. We then decided to attend the 5:00pm service at a church Jack and Christopher had mentioned. We went to Christ Church Kensington. We were by far the oldest people who attended this late service, but it was very good. We looked at Gensis 2:15-3:7. The pastor really worked through it and the gospel was clearly presented. The pastor sought us out right after the service, I am sure it was because we clearly stood out being the oldest. We will attend again.
Afterwards we headed just down the street to the Builder’s Arm pub for something to eat. Arriving home to get an early bedtime.
