Quite Days

We had a couple of quite days to start out the new week. Becky had coffee with another student and then we had our cadre on the Screwtape Letters. Afterwards, Becky took off of Oliva and they spend the afternoon going down to the London Zoo and Camden Market. Becky was not impressed with the zoo. She was really hoping for a great deal more. I had to spend time inside working and doing zoom advising meetings.

The next day Becky had an early morning PT appointment. Things are slowly getting better, which is very encouraging. She really wants to get better faster, but any improvement is going in the right direction. After her appointment she came down to the Wren Coffee shop where I once again took my students to do another day of programming. They were pretty tired this day, but we had fun and got everything completed.

After we were done Becky took off and discovered Mudchute Park & Farm near Canary Wharf. It is an open and free 32 acres park and farm that is built on cast off land. It was originally from dredging areas near the Thames for the Isle of Dogs docks. The land went through many years of different owners and uses and finally in the 1970’s the land began to be settled for open use. Becky said it was gorgeous and very relaxing place so close to the bustle of the city. She also walked a tunnel that went under the Thames River that she said was very creepy. She then ended up in Greenwich and went to the Maritime Museum. She eventually made her way back to the Daniel house.

I went out and had lunch with Tom and then had more advising meetings. After gathering back at the DH and sharing our day we got on the phone with Perry and Fiona. We talked about a Scotland driving tour they are planning in May. If we stay in the country longer, we can join them. We believe that will be what we will do. Now to begin to work out all the plans.
