The next day I had to reserve many places for our trip to Scotland. Becky had a PT appointment and ran some errands. Then in the afternoon we took off and headed to Camden Market area to have a burger so many of the students said we had to try. The place is called Epicurus, and it does traditional American food with a Levantine spin, adding Middle Eastern flavors to each food dish. We each had the Epicurus Single Decker which is dry aged smash burger, bone marrow aioli, taleggio cheese and harissa bacon jam. It lived up to all the hype. It was delicious.

We then headed off to the British Museum. We both knew we wanted to visit this museum as it is always talked about by so many. The museum is also known for having so many items from antiquity that really belong to other nations and still refusing to return them. It is a bit controversial. The place is huge, but we both have to say that it was not the impressive, really it was just overwhelming. So many items from very large statues to the tiniest little piece of jewelry. They have so many items from so many different parts of the world and so many different periods of time. One really needs to go in with a specific thing you want to see and go right for that one thing. This is another amazing free museum. It is so wonderful that the UK has so many free museums and the fact that this one with so much history in it is free is really a treasure. It was also the most crowded place we have visited. We did not spend much time here and maybe if we had longer, we would have appreciated it more.

Many of the students are having family in over the next weeks. It is harder planning things with them as many are off showing their families the London area. Drew was off with his family and so Eliott, and I went out on our guy’s night with just the two of us.

Becky spent the next day resting in the room all day. She had not had a day where she just stayed home since we got here and decided this was a good day. I did a little work and then ran over to the science museum to find some items to take my class to on Tuesday. We are covering networking, and I was able to find a whole exhibit dealing with the topic and will have many things to show them. I found it all very amazing, but I know they will only find it slightly interesting, but I got some great photos for future classes.

In the evening Becky and I and Kelsey went off to ride the Uber Comedy Boat. Once a month they take an Uber boat out for a 2-hour tour and have standup comics do their material. It was a nice night out and riding up and down the Thames for couple of hours at night was really very nice. There were two comics, and one was pretty good, and one needs to work on his timing and material more, but it was all a great deal of fun.
