Canal Ride

Becky loves boats and loves a good canal ride. We decided to head over to the Camden Market area and get on a canal boat ride. It was another bright and sunny April day in London, and since it was Friday Camden Market was packed. Unfortunately, the boat ride we wanted to take was not open for the season yet. We grabbed some amazing mac & cheese from a vendor on the canal and then jumped on different boat.

The ride was just what we wanted, slow and steady with someone giving history and facts along the way. We rode up Regents Canal to Little Venice. So many beautiful flowering trees along the route and expensive gorgeous trees. There are many people who just buy a boat and moor it along the canal. They of course have to pay an annual moor fee, but it is less expensive than the multi-million-dollar housing along the river.

We slowly made our way back to the DH getting a hot drink along the way back. Such a nice day to be outside. In the evening, I had the guy’s night out. We tried another new pub. This was The Hansom Cab. It was like a summer night out and the walk there and back was so nice. We had a great conversation and spent almost 3 hours sitting and talking. I really love these two guys and have really enjoyed our weekly gathering. Becky had her time with her woman’s cadre, and she so enjoys doing it. It has been so different then when she does it on campus since she has been really able to get to know these women. They really get so much deeper in the conversations here.
